1979 - JLP-1 was destroyed, JLP Racing decided to build a new 935 from the ground up. Starting with a chassis, engine, and other components purchased from Porsche, the so-called JLP-2 was wrapped in Kremer K3 bodywork. 1980 - Class win and 3rd overall at the Silverstone 6 Hours; 9th overall and 2nd in class at the Le Mans 24 Hours; 1st at the Road America 500 Miles 1981 - JLP-3 was constructed so JLP-2 saw limited use. 1982 - Sold to M.L. Speer for thr IMSA Championship season, 3rd at the Sebring 12 Hours. 1985 - JLP-2 retired at the end of the season 1988 - Sold to American collector 2015 - Acquired out of the collection of Steve Goldin by a French historic racing enthusiast 2021 - Offered for private sale by RM Sotherby’s for $2.1 million
