The first appearance of the Porsche 356 in a motor racing event after homologation on 8th June 1948.
Some reports say that it won it’s class on it’s first appearance, but Porsche 356 Ch No. 356-001 is believed to have just done a demonstration run driven by Ferry Porsche’s cousin, Herbert Kaes.
