The 935 was introduced in 1976 as the factory racing version of the 911 (930) Turbo and prepared for FIA-Group 5 rules, it was an evolution of the Carrera RSR 2.1 turbo prototype. It had an impressive 55 wins in FIA international championships from 1976 to 1982, including six Sebring 12 Hours and six Daytona 24 Hours JLP Racing, the father-and-son team of John Paul Senior and Junior, developed a series of even more radical 935 based racing machines.
