The Porsche 908 was the first 3-litre racing car from Porsche, introduced in 1968 designed and built to new regulations introduced by the FIA. 908/03 was a special version with the driver seated so far forward that his feet was ahead of the front wheels, and with the differential located behind the gearbox. It was prepared specially for jus four demanding events - the Targa Floria nd the Nürburgring 1000 Kilometres, in the 1970 and ’71 seasons.
